Two Men Arrested in Terengganu Over Alleged Child Sexual Abuse

Terengganu, El Sky News – Authorities in Terengganu have arrested two men suspected of sexually abusing children. The first suspect, a 54-year-old music teacher, was detained at his residence on November 15. He is alleged to have molested four students aged between seven and ten years old on November 13.

The second suspect, identified as the uncle of an eight-year-old girl, was also taken into custody at his home. Both individuals have been remanded for five days to assist police in their investigations. The cases are being investigated under Sections 14(a) and 14(b) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, which carry penalties of up to 20 years imprisonment and caning.

Police have urged parents to remain vigilant about their children’s safety and to educate them about recognizing inappropriate behavior. Authorities emphasized the importance of early awareness and open communication to prevent such incidents.

The investigation is ongoing, and police have assured the public that all measures are being taken to ensure the safety and well-being of the victims.
