Three Masked Men Rob Grocery Store In Bachok, Losses Nearly RM4,000

BACHOK, El Sky News – Residents of Kampung Tekor Ayer Merah, Kandis, Bachok, were shocked by an armed group robbery that took place at a local grocery store last Wednesday afternoon. The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has launched an operation to hunt down the three suspects believed to be involved in the robbery.

The Bachok District Police Chief, in a statement today, confirmed that the incident involved three individuals who entered the premises with their faces covered and threatened the store employee.

Weapon Threat and Significant Loss

According to the initial report, the suspects acted aggressively by pointing a firearm resembling a pistol, as well as a knife, at the victim before fleeing with the stolen property.

“The suspects’ modus operandi was to intimidate the victim using weapons. They managed to escape with various valuables and cash,” said the police spokesperson.

Among the items reported missing were two gold bracelets, an estimated cash amount of around RM600, and several store items such as cigarettes and bread. The total loss is estimated to be close to RM3,800.

PDRM Mobilizes Special Team

The police are currently conducting a detailed investigation and have identified several important leads to track down all the suspects.

“We have established a special team to expedite the investigation, and the operation to hunt down the suspects is actively underway. The public with any information is urged to come forward and assist the authorities,” he added.

The case is currently being investigated under Sections 395 and 397 of the Penal Code, which are offenses of gang robbery and robbery while using a weapon or attempting to cause death or grievous hurt.

Authorities also advised business owners in rural areas to constantly enhance security measures, including the installation of high-quality closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, to prevent similar incidents and assist police investigations in the future.

Further investigation into this case is still ongoing, and any developments will be announced periodically.
