Police Investigate Alleged Sexual Offense Involving 11-Year-Old Student in Kampung Pandan

KUALA LUMPUR, El Sky News – The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) have launched a formal investigation into a report of a sexual offense involving a minor in the Kampung Pandan area. The incident, which has prompted a call for community awareness, reportedly took place near a local religious primary school earlier this week.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mohamad Lazim Ismail, the Wangsa Maju District Police Chief, confirmed in a statement on Friday, December 19, 2025, that the report was filed on December 16 at approximately 4:16 PM. The victim is an 11-year-old male student at a Primary Religious School (SRA) located within the vicinity.

“Our investigators are treating this matter with the highest priority and sensitivity,” ACP Mohamad Lazim stated. “The safety of students and the local community is paramount, and we are working diligently to identify the individual involved.”

Investigation and Legal Context The case is currently being investigated under Section 14(d) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017. This specific section of the law addresses non-penetrative sexual offenses against minors and carries significant legal weight to ensure the protection of children in Malaysia.

As of today, December 20, no arrests have been made. Investigators are currently focused on gathering forensic evidence, reviewing available surveillance data, and conducting interviews to establish a clear description of the suspect.

A Community-First Approach The police are taking a proactive stance, encouraging residents and parents in the Kampung Pandan area to remain vigilant but calm. PDRM is also appealing for public cooperation to assist in the swift resolution of the case.

“We believe that community eyes and ears are our greatest asset,” the statement continued. “If you were in the area between December 15 and 16 and noticed any suspicious behavior or individuals near the religious school, please come forward. Your information could be the key to ensuring justice is served.”

The school administration and local leaders are expected to collaborate with the authorities to review and enhance security protocols for students traveling to and from the institution. The public is reminded to respect the privacy of the victim and his family during this sensitive time.
