Decomposed Bodies of Man and Woman Found in Setia Alam Home

KUALA LUMPUR – Police have discovered the remains of a man and a woman in a rented house in Section U13, Setia Alam, on Sunday. The victims are believed to have been deceased for more than a week before their discovery.

Shah Alam District Police Chief, ACP Ramsay Embol, stated that the grim discovery was made after a family member of one of the victims filed a police report upon finding the bodies inside the residence.

Initial investigations conducted by the Selangor Police Contingent (IPK) Forensics Unit revealed that the house was securely closed, although the front iron gate remained unlocked. Authorities noted that the interior of the house was tidy, and no vehicles were found on the premises.

The deceased, identified as a 39-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman, were located in a ground-floor bedroom. According to the police, the bodies were already in a state of decomposition. However, no physical injuries were found on either victim, and there were no immediate signs of foul play or criminal elements at the scene.

The remains have been transported to Shah Alam Hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

“At this stage, the case is classified as a Sudden Death Report (SDR),” ACP Ramsay said, adding that the investigation has been handed over to the Section 6 Police Station.

Authorities have urged the public to refrain from speculating on the incident until the post-mortem results and a full investigation are completed. Individuals with any information related to the case are encouraged to contact Inspector Izzman Mohd Idrus at 013-400 3355.
