Manchester United Make £34m Bid for Real Madrid Defender Eder Militao

Kuala Lumpur,El Sky News — Manchester United have reportedly submitted an offer of around £34 million to Real Madrid for Brazilian centre-back Éder Militão as part of their plans to strengthen the squad ahead of next season.

The bid comes amid a strong run of form under caretaker manager Michael Carrick, who has guided United to four straight wins, including a 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur. The club currently sits fourth in the Premier League table and is pushing for a Champions League spot.

Militão, 28, is widely regarded as one of Spain’s top central defenders since joining Real Madrid from Porto in 2019. He has made 189 appearances for the Spanish giants but has struggled with injuries in recent seasons, including two ACL tears and a current muscle problem that has sidelined him.

Despite his injury history, United see Militão as a valuable addition to a defense that has needed reinforcements, and Real Madrid is “considering” the offer according to reports. The defender’s current contract with Real runs until 2027/28, giving Madrid some leverage in negotiations.

If the deal goes through, it would be one of United’s major defensive signings, reflecting a continued effort to bolster their back line as the club looks to compete for major honors in the Premier League and Europe.
