Lotus’s Malaysia Showcases Culinary Talent at Masak‑Masak Ceria 2025

Ampang, El Sky News – Lotus’s Malaysia hosted its highly anticipated culinary competition, Masak‑Masak Ceria 2025, on 1–2 November at Lotus’s Ampang, Selangor. The event, organized in partnership with the Professional Culinaire Association (PCA) Malaysia and supported by TAEM Academy, aimed to spotlight Malaysia’s rising culinary talent.

The competition featured two categories: the Professional Category for seasoned chefs and the Young Chef Category for aspiring culinary enthusiasts. A total of 24 participants per category were carefully selected from over 120 nationwide entries. Contestants were evaluated on creativity, presentation, taste, and culinary storytelling by a distinguished panel of judges including KK Yau, Bob Adnin, Amy Beh, and Arieff Khalid.

The Professional Category champion was Muhammad Syafiq Syahmi Saidon, while Ahmad Wafi Rosli claimed the title in the Young Chef Category. Winners received RM3,000 in Lotus’s cash vouchers, and the top three professional contestants earned the chance to represent Malaysia at the Thailand Ultimate Chef Challenge 2026 in Bangkok, an event endorsed by the World Association of Chefs’ Societies (Worldchefs).

The event reflects Lotus’s commitment to nurturing local culinary talent and promoting Malaysia’s diverse food culture. KK Yau, one of the judges, remarked that Masak‑Masak Ceria “sets a new benchmark for local culinary competitions and highlights the creativity of Malaysia’s chefs.” The competition also provided a platform for home cooks and professional chefs alike to gain recognition and build pathways toward international culinary opportunities, further cementing Malaysia’s position as a hub for culinary innovation in Southeast Asia
