KUANTAN, El Sky News – A 44-year-old foreign domestic helper has been remanded for seven days to assist in investigations into an incident in which she allegedly injured her employer, a 57-year-old woman, and the employer’s 28-year-old son at a double-storey house in KotaSAS.
The incident occurred around 8.30 a.m. on Monday. According to police reports, the employer sustained injuries to her head and left thumb, while her son suffered more severe wounds, including the loss of his left thumb, and cuts to his head and leg.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect is believed to have used a meat-cutting knife during the altercation.
The suspect was arrested shortly after the incident and brought before the Kuantan Magistrate’s Court, which approved a seven-day remand order to facilitate further investigation.
Police said the case is being investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means.
Early findings suggest that the suspect may have been under work-related stress, though the exact motive remains under investigation.
