India, El Sky News – A quiet Tuesday afternoon turned tragic when a 16 year old student was found critically injured after allegedly jumping from the platform of a train station. He was later pronounced dead upon arrival at hospital.
The heartbreaking incident, which occurred in Delhi, India, has drawn widespread attention after the teenager was found to have left behind a final note expressing deep emotional distress and frustration over the treatment he received at school.
“Sorry, I have broken your heart many times, and this is the last time I am doing so. This is how the teachers at school are. What am I supposed to say?” read a portion of the note, reflecting the overwhelming pressure he had been silently carrying.
The victim’s father has lodged a police report against three teachers and the school principal, alleging that sustained mental harassment pushed his son towards this tragic decision. According to him, his son had left for school as usual at approximately 7:15am, with no indication that anything was amiss.
However, at around 2:45pm, he received a devastating phone call informing him that his son had been found injured near Rajendra Place Metro Station. The teenager was confirmed dead shortly after being admitted to hospital.
Friends of the victim later revealed that one of the teachers had allegedly threatened him several days prior to the incident, including warnings of expulsion and the issuance of a transfer certificate. Another teacher was also accused of physically pushing the student, while the principal was named as one of the individuals contributing to his emotional distress.
The father further stated that his son had previously shared concerns about psychological pressure from certain teachers. Formal complaints had reportedly been submitted to the school, but no action was taken.
This tragic case has reignited discussions about student mental health and the responsibility of educational institutions to provide a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment.
