Selgate Specialist Hospital Rawang Expands Cross-Border Healthcare Access, Targets Regional Patients

MALAYSIA, El Sky News — Selgate Specialist Hospital Rawang (SSH Rawang) has officially expanded its cross-border healthcare services through a strategic partnership with Stratgeist Pte Ltd, aiming to improve access to specialist medical care for patients across Southeast Asia, particularly from Indonesia.

The collaboration positions SSH Rawang as a key referral destination for international patients seeking advanced medical treatment in Malaysia. Under the agreement, SSH Rawang will oversee all clinical and medical services, while Stratgeist will manage non-medical aspects, including administrative coordination, travel arrangements, logistics, and patient referral support.

According to Dato’ Noor Hisham Mohd Ghouth, Group Chief Executive Officer of Selgate, the initiative reflects Selgate Healthcare’s long-term vision to build an integrated, internationally competitive healthcare ecosystem. He noted that the partnership also aligns with Selangor’s broader strategy to strengthen its healthcare sector and medical tourism industry.

SSH Rawang offers a wide range of specialist services, including cardiology, orthopaedics, oncology, neurology, general surgery, gastroenterology, and women’s and children’s health, supported by modern diagnostic and treatment facilities. The hospital is part of the wider Selgate Healthcare network, which includes primary care clinics, pharmacies, diagnostic laboratories, and post-treatment care services to ensure continuity of care.

Stratgeist Pte Ltd is known for referring more than 1,000 international patients annually to Malaysia and Singapore. The initial phase of the partnership will focus on the Indonesian market, with plans to expand to other regional markets in line with growing demand for cross-border healthcare services.

Operational since October 2025, SSH Rawang is a 224-bed specialist hospital designed to serve both local and international patients. Through this cross-border collaboration, SSH Rawang aims to enhance regional healthcare mobility while providing accessible, high-quality medical services for patients beyond Malaysia’s borders.
