Russia Allegedly Shares Intelligence With Iran to Target U.S. Forces in Middle East

Kuala Lumpur — Russia has reportedly begun sharing intelligence with Iran that could help Tehran target United States military forces in the Middle East, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing regional conflict.

According to reports citing U.S. intelligence officials, Moscow has provided Tehran with information about the locations of American military assets, including warships and aircraft operating across the region. The intelligence sharing could potentially allow Iranian forces to better identify and strike U.S. military targets.

Officials familiar with the intelligence said the information reportedly includes coordinates and positioning of U.S. forces stationed throughout the Middle East. The development is seen as the first clear indication that Russia may be indirectly supporting Iran in the escalating confrontation with the United States and its allies.

The alleged assistance comes amid a rapidly intensifying conflict following coordinated strikes by the United States and Israel on Iranian targets earlier this year. The military operation triggered retaliatory attacks by Iran across several locations in the region.

While intelligence sources suggest Russia’s data could help Iran plan attacks, U.S. officials say there is currently no evidence that Moscow is directly directing Iranian military actions or coordinating specific strikes.

The Kremlin has not publicly confirmed the reports, but analysts say the development reflects deepening strategic ties between Russia and Iran. The two countries signed a broader strategic partnership agreement in 2025 and have increasingly cooperated in military and geopolitical matters.

Security experts warn that if Russia’s intelligence support continues, it could further widen the conflict and raise the risk of a broader geopolitical confrontation involving major global powers.

The situation remains highly volatile as military tensions continue to rise across the Middle East.
