Danial Amier’s Early Strike Propels Kuching City to Victory Over Kelantan TRW

KOTA BHARU, El Sky News – Kuching City FC continued their impressive run in the 2025/2026 Super League season after securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Kelantan The Real Warriors (TRW) FC at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium last night.

Clinical Finish

The decisive moment arrived early in the first half when midfielder Muhammad Danial Amier Norhisham found the back of the net in the 20th minute. Capitalizing on a scoring opportunity, Danial unleashed a precise close-range shot that beat Kelantan’s Bulgarian goalkeeper, Damyanov Damyan Valeriy, giving the visitors a lead they would hold until the final whistle.

Defensive Resilience

Despite being the away side, Aidil Sharin Ishak’s men showed great tactical discipline. Kelantan TRW pushed for an equalizer in the second half, with their best chance coming in the 60th minute. Forward Albert Sang fired a powerful strike from outside the penalty box, but Kuching City’s custodian, Muhammad Haziq Nadzli, produced a brilliant save to deny the hosts.

Climb to the Top

This victory marks Kuching City’s fifth consecutive match without a loss (three wins and two draws). The three points earned have solidified their position at second place in the league standings with 28 points from 13 matches, narrowly leading rivals Selangor FC and Kuala Lumpur (KL) City FC, both of whom have 25 points.

The “Cats” now trail league leaders Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT), who currently sit at the top with 36 points.

The Road Ahead

Kuching City faces a monumental task in their next fixture as they travel to Iskandar Puteri to face JDT at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium on January 13. Having lost 0-1 to the Southern Tigers back in August, Kuching City will be looking to leverage their current momentum to settle the score.
