KUALA LUMPUR – Renowned Malaysian singer Nourul Wahab has expressed her willingness to reunite with her former husband and musical partner, Ajai, for a duet performance at her upcoming solo concert, “For You Nourul.”
The announcement comes following a wave of requests from fans who have been using social media hashtags to campaign for the iconic duo to share the stage once again. Despite their divorce in 2006, the pair remains one of the most successful duets in Malaysian music history, known for award-winning hits such as Keliru and Aku Cinta Aku Rindu.
Speaking at a recent event, the 49-year-old vocalist stated that she has no personal objections to the collaboration, citing professional maturity as the primary reason.
“I am open to the idea because we are both mature enough now. We would be doing this for the fans,” Nourul said. However, she clarified that the final decision rests on management arrangements and Ajai’s professional availability.
Regardless of whether a duet takes place, Nourul confirmed that Ajai will still receive an official invitation to the event. She noted his significant role in her career as the producer of her second album.
The “For You Nourul” concert is scheduled to take place on May 30, 2026, at Zepp Kuala Lumpur. The repertoire will feature approximately 15 songs, including fan favorites and French-language tracks, catering to her international friends traveling from Singapore, Bali, and France.
Nourul emphasized that the concert will proceed as planned even if the reunion does not materialize. She expressed gratitude for the rescheduled date, noting that the change has allowed other guest performers, who were previously unavailable, to join the show.
The singer is expected to announce a second guest performer for the historic night in the near future.
